Year One

The first year is considered to be a preparatory stage . Students take core pre-requisite courses along with university requirements to lighten the burden .

These core courses , such as Analytical and organic chemistry and general and physical chemistry and introduction to pharmaceutics , do not differ so much from the chemistry courses students studied in high school .

Year Two

IBeing a sophomore student , the courses will go into further depths to establish a strong base for more development in the students ' knowledge in medical sciences .

Year Three

Third year is considered the transition stage in which they will start taking the bachelor's thesis including biosciences , pharmacology and microbiology courses which moves them from the theoretical basis to the practical application .

Also students must finish their English language courses before going to senior first year or else they will have to take a light load until they finish it.

Year Four

In the senior first year as graduation and exposure to real life approaches , students are being prepared for the final year of specialization in clinical pharmacy through the fully equipped laboratories and unique institutional pharmacy and drug information center .

Year Five

The graduation year in which we offer a unique Excellency in clinical pharmacy specialization. MIU drug information center serves as a practical training facility for pharmacy students on answering drug related questions from patients , physicians and other health care professionals . Also it serves the community by providing drug information services in the form of newsletters as well as answers to specific questions . Through MIU's institutional pharmacy , students deal with prescriptions and gets acquainted with the possible drug interactions that may exist in any prescription . The pharmacy also teaches the students to be efficient and dependable counselors to their patients .

A unique feature of the undergraduate program is the collaborative relationship with the Dental College. Senior students meet with patients to take a detailed medication history that becomes part of the patient's file . Students then provide patient consultation on their prescription and non- prescription medications .
